Meet Jonathan! 👋 Jonathan is a Project Manager at REV with a special focus on all things related to walkability and public space. He originally came to REV as a part of the Zyp Bikeshare program almost a decade ago and has since worn many hats within the organization. Jonathan developed a love for downtown Birmingham in his teens and early twenties while attending UAB as an undergrad and playing music all over Birmingham’s South Side. Jonathan’s interest in urban planning and public space management blossomed during several tours of the East Coast of the U.S. where he observed a new city every day and started looking for the causes of their similarities and differences. While at UAB he began commuting to class by bike, and what began as a means of transportation has transformed into a 10 year hobby of amateur bike racing all over the U.S. When Jonathan isn’t working on one of his various projects downtown or in Woodlawn, he can probably be found riding his bike, playing music, or relaxing with his wife Sarah and their cat Donut.

Congrats are in order for Birmingham Open for Business Grow Stage awardee Will Mason! Will is celebrating the one-year anniversary of Woodlawn Theatre, a newfound community pillar within the historic Woodlawn commercial district. During this time, Woodlawn Theatre has hosted more than 150 concerts and private events. Artists including David Wilcox, Bo Rinehart of NeedtoBreathe and Citizens have taken the theatre’s stage, and Birminghamians have also gathered to watch family movies and sporting events. Have you stopped by yet?

Meet Connor, our Five Points South District Manager! Connor is a Birmingham transplant, originally hailing from Indiana and having attended Ball State University (go Cardinals!). Upon graduation, Connor moved to Birmingham to be closer to his family and spent his career working in advertising, where he successfully managed marketing projects and campaigns while cultivating strong client relationships. Now as the Five Points South District Manager with REV, Connor gets to build upon those same principles by listening, casting vision and taking action with the district’s business and property owners. By collaborating with the community, Connor envisions a vibrant Five Points South that continues to promote entertainment, walkability and diversity. Connor’s interests include all things related to urban planning and development, hanging out with his niece and nephew, cooking, reading, drinking coffee or beer, and petting some good dogs!
