Updates

  • Last weekend the Dubuque RFA Team participated in our annual Hockey Event! This event was also the Teddy Bear Toss, an event to collect stuffed animals for Toys for Tots. Our employees and RFA donated several bags of stuffed animals for the event. Thanks to all the employees who took part in the event, donated items to the kids, and cheered on the Dubuque Fighting Saints!

  • Last Month RFA Engineering presented at the UW-Platteville High School Career Fair Showcase. Students were able to learn about the day in the life of an engineer and the steps to take if they want to pursue a STEM education. Thank you to Brandon and Evan for sharing their experiences and meeting with students. That same month the RFA Dubuque office hosted students from Dubuque Area High Schools in an open house and shadow day. During this time students could view the office, learn more about our on-site and in-house engineering teams, and shadow our in-office engineers to learn more about what an engineer does! Thank you to Devin and Evan for sharing their experiences and meeting with students.

  • This November we would like to give thanks to all our incredible employees who give back to their communities in their free time! All month long we will be highlighting employees who give back. The week is Joshua, Ben, Brady, & Devin! When not working at RFA or serving in the military, Joshua is very active in serving at his church. He started working on the production team at church in 2017, responsible for running the audio and video systems. He has been a part of implementing several major upgrades including adding livestreaming capability during COVID in 2020 and a major sound system upgrade in 2021. He is currently the production team leader working on training new team members, setting up the system for church events, and continuing to improve, upgrade, and troubleshoot the system. Joshua has also served in the Wednesday night AWANA program at his church for the past 2 years as a 3rd-5th grade boys small group leader and games organizer. This year, he has taken over leading the 3rd-5th grade club and helping to organize and coordinate the other AWANA clubs. Joshua is also a Specialist serving in the US Army Reserves as a Combat Engineer. Thank you Joshua for your service! Devin, Brady, and Ben are all volunteer mentors for the Dubuque Robotics FIRST LEGO LEAUGE. This position involves mentoring and leading a team of about 15 students on a robotics build project that will compete with other schools, and potentially the country! Their role is 1-2 days a week of commitment fall semester. We are cheering all of your teams on this year as we get closer to competition time! Thank you Joshua, Devin, Brady, & Ben for all you do for your community! #Thanks #Givingback #RFAFam #RFAEngineering #CompanyCulture #Novemberthanks (Organizations above have no affiliation with RFA Engineering) (RFA Engineering is a sponsor of Dubuque FIRST LEGO LEAUGE teams)
