Days like this—where friends laugh, share, and make thoughtful choices that reflect love for each other and the world—remind us that the most beautiful moments aren’t just lived; they’re created, together. It all started in Richmond’s Arts District with brunch at Birdie’s, where the coffee was rich, the Richmond Water was cold, and a little bubbly found its way into our glasses. After soaking up the morning sun, we climbed into the electric Audi Q4 e-tron from Audi Richmond and set off across the city, embracing the effortless elegance of zero emissions. Next stop? Uptown Cheapskate, where Kendall John ensured our shopping experience was nothing short of amazing. We found stylish, preloved outfits that were ready for a new home—and with a refillable Richmond Water bottle in hand, we cruised home e-tron style, feeling lighter with every choice we made. It’s not just about what we wear or how we get there—it’s about the quiet, powerful ways we can choose better, live better, and leave the world a little brighter for ourselves and generations to come. Together, we’re making the change, and when we do it right, it feels as natural as breathing. That’s something truly worth celebrating. Thank you to all the partners who helped bring this 'Girl’s Day' to life: Audi Richmond Richmond Water Birdie’s (Common House) Uptown Cheapskate Commonwealth Commons Paige Poprocky, Social Media Director for The Richmond Experience & @SipsandTripsWithPaige Emmaline Chappell, Personal Stylist Courtney Turrin, Chief Work Officer at Xponent21 Kendall John from Uptown Jonathan DiLego, Social Media Director at Audi Richmond Xponent21 And a special thank you to @Carter_Captures_RVA for capturing these moments so beautifully. Your artistry and dedication to this project made it truly unforgettable. #RichmondWater #AudiRichmond #Birdies #UptownCheapskate #SustainabilityInAction #WeMoveTogether #LoveYourBottle #LocalArt #Audi #eTron

Take a Stand: Make Water Local Again!
About us
Richmond Water is a local water brand that sources local water and local art in a movement to change how people drink water. The average consumer drinks 167 plastic bottles of water a year. It’s time to put a stop to that. Our sustainable cans are refillable and recyclable at the end of their life and have the potential to replace as many as 10 plastic bottles - maybe more if you #LoveYourCan. Featuring limited edition can art, Richmond Water is sold direct to consumer, at festivals, farmers markets, breweries, in select locally-owned markets and in bulk to select RVA brand ambassadors. $.50 from each can will be donated to a nonprofit which will rotate with the artists featured on the can. Customers who buy direct will get a vote on future artists and nonprofit beneficiaries. If you want early access to the next can design, please send an email to richmondwater@xponent21.com.

Get your Googly Eyed Skull-A-Day shirt from Noah Scalin (he designed the font on our brand) before the sale is over! 💀
Do you know what these are? 👀 You get 10 points if you know the technical term… Googly Eyes! I actually used them to create the day 310 skull of my original Skull-A-Day project. And now for the first time ever they're on a t-shirt (and a sweatshirt)! AND they glow-in-the dark! For just 1 week only I'm doing a pre-sale for this limited run product and I want to make sure you get one! Order yours now from my merch store: https://lnkd.in/eievp_QK As an added bonus everything else in my store is on sale this week as well! Shirts will ship the week of October 21st, so you'll have them in hand in time for Halloween! But don't wait to order! There's no guarantee you'll be able to get one after this pre-sale is over. #creativityatwork #skull #tshirt

Thanks to Brian E Parker, REALTOR® with Cabell Childress Group and the organizing team at Virginia Pride, Richmond Water will have our sustainable hydration stations at Pridefest 2024! We’re encouraging everyone to bring an empty refillable bottle to help us cut down on the plastic consumed at this event. In anticipation of the release of a collaboration between a number of Richmond brands that embrace sustainability as a core value, we’re excited to share a behind-the-scenes look at “Girls’ Day.” Featuring Emmaline Chappell, personal stylist, Paige Poprocky, from The Richmond Experience and @SipsAndTripsWithPaige on Instagram, and Courtney Turrin, Chief Work Officer at Xponent21, “Girls’ Day” celebrates integrating sustainability into everyday life. Partners on this project include Audi Richmond and Richmond Water, and location partners included Birdie’s, which is part of Common House, and Uptown Cheapskate Commonwealth Commons. We appreciate these partners and others who made this collaboration possible and we’re waiting with bated breath for the final cut and subsequent release. 📸 Jonathan DiLego #RVAIsSustainable 💛

We bet you just LOVE consuming plastic. Whew. How did we get here?
The best ads make you feel something. Like this: "What goes in the ocean goes in you." This Surfrider ad stopped my scroll. Why it worked on me: 1️⃣ Powerful visual storytelling Most ads like this just show stats. But they really brought it to life. Luckily I ate lunch already. Because this hit me hard. 2️⃣ Emotional hook The copy mirrors the ad visual. My guess? They started with the copy. Then built a strong visual to go with it. 3️⃣ Concise copy The ad heading is only 8 words. But it packs a big punch. Short = scannable. Don't ramble. Before you make your next ad. 📌 Stop and ask yourself: → What's your plastic sushi? → How can you visualize your value prop? → What specific emotion are you tapping into? -- 👋 P.S. Thoughts on this ad? Love it? Hate it? Lmk below. Get your FREE ticket to Motion's Creative Strategy Summit. Virtual event Sept 19 & 20. 👉 https://bit.ly/3ywOYN9

We know that guy! 💧Check it out: Will Melton was in the WTVR-TV studio for a live airing of Virginia This Morning on Monday. If you’ve never been, it’s really cool. The different sets are all in the same room spread out in a big circle. Huge camera rigs with teleprompters (as you’d expect) in the middle. Most of the cameras are automated and controlled by staff in another room, but the talent, guests and a couple of staff are there to coordinate the show. A big part of our work is public awareness. We must let others know that we’re making options available to push for a more sustainable life and community. We thank you for joining us for this journey. Please share this post if you believe in our mission and think your friends and colleagues may benefit from being aware of these solutions. Powerful!
India has a plastic waste problem. They contribute 16 million tons of plastic to the planet every year. Fortunately, The Times of India is doing something about it. They partnered with VML to roll out the #UnPlasticIndia Campaign. It's home to the most visceral imagery I've seen in advertising. Each ad replaces a plastic bottle with an adorable sea creature. Their necks are, quite literally, getting wrung. The ad poses a simple question... Still using plastic bottles? This is an example of just how powerful imagery can be in advertising. With imagery this strong, copy can and should take a backseat.
