As devastating fires continue to impact the City of Santa Monica and the broader Los Angeles community, Spin is committed to supporting our communities during this challenging time. Starting today, we’re launching a week-long initiative where Spin will cover the cost to round up each ride taken in Santa Monica to the nearest dollar. 100% of these proceeds will be donated directly to the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation 🧑🚒 🚒 , supporting their critical fire relief efforts. Additionally, we’ve also compiled a list of essential resources for those affected, including: - Emergency shelter locations - Real-time evacuation maps - Free N95 mask distribution points - Critical support services To our first responders working tirelessly to protect our communities, your dedication and bravery inspire us all. We’re proud to be part of a community that comes together in times of need. Stay Safe! 🙏 #LAStrong #CommunitySupport #LosAngeles

🚲🛴Baltimore: A Case Study in Equitable Micromobility Growth Discover how Baltimore is leading the charge in equitable micromobility solutions, setting new standards for equitable transportation.  In 2024, the city saw an impressive 1.6 million shared micromobility trips, with October alone hitting a post-pandemic high of 237,722 rides. As a proud 5-year partner in this market, here's how Spin is contributing to Baltimore’s success: - Collaborating with Baltimore City Department of Transportation to exceed equity requirements through strategic investments and partnerships - Supporting expansion of ridership beyond the “White L” into the “Black Butterfly”, addressing historical inequities - Maintaining our operational excellence and strong partnership with BCDOT, resulting annual permit renewals Our innovative approach includes: 1. Spin Access Program: Providing free rides to thousands of eligible Baltimoreans 2. 50% automatic discount in lower-income areas to supercharge ridership in historically disadvantaged communities  3. Pioneering partnership with Bikemore for community-based program enrollment The result? Roughly 1/3 of our trips are replacing car or rideshare trips, significantly reducing urban congestion and emissions for local residents. But there’s so much more to Baltimore’s success story. Explore our full case study to uncover the strategies, challenges, and collaborative efforts that could reshape urban mobility in your city 👉 https://lnkd.in/g6E2Mdsv What city do you think could benefit from Baltimore’s approach? Micromobility is booming in Columbus, Ohio! We're so proud of Steven Needham and our local team for achieving record breaking ridership 🛴 in Columbus last week. Not only was Saturday our highest ridership day ever, but last week was our highest ridership week ever. We continue to be all in on Columbus, and are so grateful to our riders and city staff for their partnership.

One of the best decisions Spin has made in the past couple of years was to prioritize our investment and partnership with the City of Columbus, home to nearly 1m people as well as one of the largest universities in the country, The Ohio State University. That meant bringing our newest and safest e-scooter technology, growing our fleet, and investing in the training and development of our local W-2 operations team led by the one and only Steven Needham.  During the first half of 2024, we saw an amazing 35% growth in trips. Better yet, this increased ridership was enabled by double digit growth coming from Access Zones, which provide automatic discounts on trips beginning in historically disadvantaged areas. As a result, we've further expanded those Access Zones and we expect to see this growth continue. None of this would be possible without the collaboration and support from our city partners, as well as the residents, visitors, students and workers living in Columbus. To say thank you and to celebrate this collective impact, we're throwing a party at our local HQ and all are invited. We'll have food, music, free scooter rides (and promos), and good vibes 🤙 Hope you all can drop by and join us!
