About us
When schools use better instructional materials and show teachers how to make the most of them in the classroom, student outcomes improve and inequities are reduced. Rivet Education promotes the adoption and use of high-quality instructional materials (HQIM) by partnering with states and school districts to implement HQIM-aligned professional learning for teachers and school leaders. Founded in 2019 by the same team who led the implementation of nationally renowned HQIM programs through the Louisiana Department of Education, Rivet Education offers two primary services: - Professional Learning Partner Guide (PLPG) is a free online tool that offers comprehensive and objective analysis of professional learning providers. Using the website, educators and decision-makers can find and connect with professional learning service providers that meet strict quality standards and their particular needs. - Coaching & Consulting with state education agencies and school districts that want to improve the quality of instruction happening in classrooms by scaling the adoption and use of high-quality instructional materials. Rivet Education is the only company in the U.S. offering this unique service: evaluating and curating high-quality professional learning options so that schools create a greater, less risky, and more immediate impact on every student.

This week, RPPL team members Stacey Alicea, Executive Director, and Camea Davis, Director of Equitable Research-Practice Partnerships, presented “Consensus, Tensions, and Possibilities in PL Frameworks for the Field” at #LearnFwd24! Alongside National Implementation Research Network, Learning Policy Institute, Learning Forward, and Rivet Education. They dove into the formats and structures, characteristics and content, and enabling conditions for High-Quality Professional Learning (HQPL). The session highlighted how these elements can transform teaching and foster student success. 💡 We also hosted a table talk on “The Latest Research in Professional Learning”, diving into what we know in the PL field, what we don’t know, and what it means for supporting teacher development. Thank you for having us, Learning Forward (a RPPL affiliate!), and thank you to all who attended our sessions.
