Our mission is to advance the use of sound risk principles in the financial services industry. The Gulf Coast Chapter of the RMA is organized and managed by volunteer members. We strongly encourage current or prospective members to become involved in shaping the future direction of the chapter by contacting any of the current officers or board members. We would also be happy to discuss your questions and the many benefits that can be derived from membership in RMA. Founded in 1914, The Risk Management Association (RMA) is a not-for-profit, member-driven professional association; our mission is to advance the use of sound risk principles in the financial services industry. RMA promotes an enterprise approach to risk management that focuses on credit risk, market risk, and operational risk. RMA helps our members use sound risk management principles to improve institutional performance and financial stability, and enhances the risk management competency of individuals through information, education, peer sharing, and networking. Headquartered in Philadelphia, RMA has approximately 2,500 institutional members and includes banks of all sizes as well as non-bank financial institutions. There are upwards of 20,000 risk management professionals who are chapter members in financial centers throughout the world.

👏🏻 We could not be more pleased to announce that we have officially-earned the Platinum designation from The Risk Management Association’s headquarters for a 14th consecutive year. 🥇 Not only did we earn Platinum, we orchestrated the single most successful year in the illustrious history of our Chapter, in terms of registered attendance and revenue generation across a total of 16 events, by very significant margins. Current President of the RMA Texas Regional Chapter Joanie McFarland and Immediate Past President of the RMA Gulf Coast Chapter Dustin Martin traveled to El Paso this week to present Liliana Miranda with her richly-deserved Platinum award this week. 🏆 Liliana led the Texas Regional Chapter to a 14th consecutive year of Platinum performance and the most financially successful Spring Conference in its 75-year history. Congratulations Liliana!! 👏🏻 A sincere thank you goes out to the staff and leadership of WestStar Bank, who helped us make this event happen. They were amazing and we cannot thank Victor Parra, Brianna Romero, or David Osborn enough. 😊
