Diamonds are not, in fact, forever. Our relationship with Peter Thompson’s singular Andrew Geoffrey Vineyard, perched at nearly 2000' near the summit of Diamond Mountain, ended after the 2019 harvest when Elton turned our focus entirely to the Robert Craig Winery estate vineyards. However, the wines produced from that decade of partnership are nothing short of extraordinary. Low-yield vintages tend to be our favorites here, and 2015 did not disappoint on Diamond Mountain. Yields were 50% down from normal on the volcanic slopes, and the resulting wines possess a depth and structure that is hard to replicate in more bountiful years.
