🎉🎉🎉 DiMe is proud to announce the final project team that will drive solutions and accelerate the implementation of #AI across care settings through our newest project, The Playbook: Implementing AI in Healthcare! AI has the potential to revolutionize #healthcare, but one important challenge remains: the practical #implementation of cutting-edge AI technologies in real-world clinical settings. Shifting the industry’s focus from innovation alone to the successful and scalable integration of AI across complex health systems is needed to overcome barriers hindering widespread adoption. This project will: ▪️ Examine the cost/benefit of AI implementation to maximize value ▪️ Address ethical and operational risks, taking actionable steps to safely integrate AI into care systems ▪️ Integrate AI solutions seamlessly across care delivery settings ▪️ Navigate federal, regulatory, and reimbursement complexities ▪️ Build consensus and close knowledge gaps with top policymakers, technologists, healthcare systems, clinicians, and patient groups Thank you to our partners for their commitment to leading the industry collaboration to evaluate and create tools that support the healthcare industry to fully benefit from all AI can offer in a safe, secure, equitable, and privacy-conscious way. 🔗 To learn more about the project and sign up for updates, visit: https://lnkd.in/ergr3hQ9 Ada Health AdvaMed Artium AI American College of Cardiology ANDHealth Cedars-Sinai Coalition for Health AI (CHAI) Consumer Technology Association Council of Medical Specialty Societies Curai Health Dandelion Health Deloitte Google Health Norvana University of Michigan Gesund.ai Jazz Pharmaceuticals Kaiser Permanente Komodo Health OpenNotes Rock Health Intelligent Product Solutions Standford SandwYch UCB U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Verily

It brought me so much hope to be among the #BHT2024 community this past week led by the unstoppable force for good, Solome Tibebu. This community of builders and innovators are creating a healthier future for us all Tina Keshani James Corbett Jasper Ho Kristina Saffran Cierra Gromoff Rebecca Benghiat Margaret Laws Jaspal Sandhu Tom Cassels Katya Hancock Carmen Chu Tia Newcomer Judy Park Liam Donohue Andrew Barr and Elizabeth Brown. I was particularly heartened and energized by the viewpoints of the leaders on the panel I moderated, “Parsing the Signals through the Noise: The Investment Opportunity in Youth Mental Health Innovation.” It was an honor to be joined by many of Rock Health’s partners in our youth mental health work: Kelsey Noonan (Pivotal Ventures), Erin Sietstra (Hopelab), David Ball (Headstream Innovation), and John Bailey (Fiore Ventures LLC). Key takeways from our conversation: ✅ Demand for youth mental health solutions is continuing to increase—the CDC found that more than 1 in 5 children in the U.S. experience a mental, emotional, or behavioral health disorder. Rock Health’s 2023 Consumer Adoption of Digital Health data showed that 45% of Gen Z respondents used text-based virtual care tools (11 percentage points higher than respondents aged 25+). ✅ At the same time, investments in youth mental health are also increasing, with venture funding going to digital health startups addressing youth mental health growing from 15% of total behavioral health funding in 2018 to 35% in 2023. ✅ But there’s plenty of further opportunity to invest in youth mental health solutions and expand access in the process, highlighted in particular by the fact that only 22% of funding has recently gone to startups that contract with Medicaid. ✅ All that said, investment in this space doesn’t have to stop with venture capital. There’s a huge role for philanthropists to play alongside investors to better support and build systemwide, impactful change. ✅ To learn more about RockHealth.org’s Digital Youth Mental Health Initiative and read the our report on the innovation opportunity: https://lnkd.in/eBArP4FX

The RockHealth.org Innovation Fellowship is an immersive cohort-based experience that supports and amplifies the work of visionary leaders centering lived experience in digital health innovation: https://lnkd.in/dyzmrbBm Today we are spotlighting 2024 RockHealth.org Innovation Fellow Kenzie Butera Davis, CEO of Maro. Maro’s web-based platform, Maro for Schools, is used to screen youth for depression, anxiety, suicide and/or ADHD and match families with appropriate care. Kenzie launched Maro after a teenage family member survived a suicide attempt. She observed that most existing solutions were delivering telehealth services, but none were solving the upstream problem—identifying mental health concerns early.
