  • We’re thrilled to be part of the Kratos Defense and Security Solutions team for the MACH-TB program and ready to serve the U.S. Department of Defense with even more hypersonic technology tests on our HASTE launch vehicle. Rocket Lab has already served the MACH-TB program, delivering multiple successful hypersonic test launches with our HASTE (Hypersonic Accelerator Suborbital Test Electron) rocket from Rocket Lab’s Launch Complex 2 in Wallops, Virginia. HASTE is a suborbital variant of Rocket Lab’s Electron launch vehicle, which is the United States’ second most frequently launched orbital rocket annually.   We’re excited to continue this success in 2025 and beyond to accelerate science and technology experiments and build upon the nation’s hypersonic capabilities.

Breaking News: Kratos is proud to announce we’ve been awarded the contract for MACH-TB 2.0 Task Area 1 Systems Engineering, Integration, and Testing (SEIT) with a total potential value of $1.45 billion.   As the prime, Kratos will lead a team of industry-leading subcontractors to provide integrated subscale, full-scale, and air launch services designed to affordably increase the cadence of hypersonic flight testing—a critical capability for U.S. national security.   This contract underscores Kratos’ position as a leader in hypersonics and low-cost solutions, reinforcing our commitment to developing transformative technology for the warfighter. Together, we are advancing innovation and enhancing our nation’s readiness.   Stay tuned for more updates on this groundbreaking effort and learn more here: https://lnkd.in/dMUWehiB   #KratosDefense #Hypersonics #NationalSecurity #Innovation

🚀 In collaboration with Rocket Lab, we’ve engineered and delivered the largest, fastest Automated Fiber Placement (AFP) machine in the world, standing an incredible 39 feet tall. This impressive machine was custom-built to meet Rocket Lab’s ambitious requirements for manufacturing large rocket components with unmatched speed, precision, and reliability.   Rocket Lab turned to Electroimpact for our expertise and proven track record in delivering world-class aerospace manufacturing solutions. Rising to the challenge, we integrated our advanced AFP 4.0 technology suite to deliver a machine capable of laying down miles of carbon fiber quickly, and accurately.   Key Innovations in the AFP 4.0 System:   ✅ VSSL (Variable Spot Size Laser): Individual tow heating lasers that enhance adhesion, ensure process reliability, and maximize placement accuracy.   ✅ RIPITx (Real-Time In-Process Inspection Technology): Enables uninterrupted layups with no operator intervention, allowing complete part builds without manual inspection.   ✅ Servo Creel: A high-performance tension control system designed to improve layup accuracy, reliability, and speed.   This collaboration exemplifies our commitment to pushing the boundaries of aerospace manufacturing technology. We’re proud to deliver innovative solutions that empower our partners to achieve their boldest goals.   🎥 🔊 Check out the video below to see this engineering marvel in action! #rocketlab #SPACE #aerospaceengineering #AFP #aerospace #composites

It's amazing the difference a year makes for construction of Neutron's Launch Complex 3 in Virginia. From empty land to a giant water tower, launch mount, underground infrastructure, and buildings stood up outside the Wallops gate for Neutron integration. The countdown to Neutron's first launch is on.
