Venus is a step closer. We’re embarking on the first private Venus mission and sending a probe into the Venusian atmosphere to search for signs of microbial life. Recently the probe’s heatshield, a crucial component that will protect the capsule as it passes through the volatile clouds above Venus’ surface, completed a fit check by engineers at NASA Ames Research Center. During Varda Space Industries' orbital processing phase, our Pioneer spacecraft delivered critical mission functions for Varda’s 120kg capsule including power, communications, propulsion, and attitude control. Now that Varda’s capsule has completed orbital processing, it’s time to bring it home. Now it’s over to Varda to bring their capsule home for recovery in Australia!
