Soil carbon plays a critical role in mitigating climate change; unfortunately, with the length and complexity of the carbon protocols, understanding how to measure and calculate carbon stocks can seem overwhelming, especially to the general audience. As such, I've decided to provide some information on the topic, a 3-part blog series to guide you through some of the essentials of soil carbon stocks. Robotic sampling becomes MORE valuable over time, because as you repeat fields with ROGO, you're gathering a consistent data set that shows clear trends over time. When we sample at *exactly* the same point as we did 3 years ago, it's easy to see how that grid/zone has changed. Otherwise, when looking at historical trends it's hard to tell what change is "real," and what just comes from variation within that grid/zone. This is especially important with zones, where individual core locations are often chosen strategically to create the most accurate representation of the zone as a whole. #rogoag #precisionagriculture #soiltest

Here's the truth about fertilizer prices: Lime's price just keeps climbing (see pic), and P & K prices are still 2x what they were in 2021 (though they've fallen steadily from their 2022 highs).
