Round The Rock

Last year, I was fortunate enough to be one of the judges and let me tell you there were some amazing pitches from these kidpreneurs. I joined the board of Friends of Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge last year because I value wild spaces, public land, and the gorgeous Texas hill country. The Friends group helps support this National Wildlife Refuge through providing programming, events, outreach, and land acquisition to grow the refuge. With the rapid pace of development in the Central Texas area, having dedicated space for plants, wildlife, and our water is critical and benefits everyone. AUSTIN FRIENDS!! We are in need of volunteers to help us run our Princesses with Powertools activity this Saturday (2/22) at UT Girl Day! The event runs from 11 AM - 4 PM, but you can come just for the morning or afternoon based on your availability! As a volunteer, you'll be teaching 100s of girls how to use their first ever power tool (and no, you don't need any prior power tool experience to volunteer).
