This week, Rower Consulting hosted an in-person analytics training in Atlanta, and it was a fantastic experience diving deep into how organizations can build a strong data culture and use data effectively. One of the key takeaways we discussed was the importance of alignment between leadership and the front lines. If leadership isn’t modeling and celebrating data-driven decisions, it won’t stick. We also emphasized how critical it is to focus on mindset, not just tools. It’s easy to invest in the latest technology, but without trust in data and a shift in how teams work, the adoption just doesn’t happen. We talked through practical use cases like automating reporting to save time or creating intuitive dashboards that eliminate manual work. When data improves outcomes, it’s an easy win for everyone. But one thing we stressed was avoiding the common pitfall of underestimating the change management piece—people naturally fall back to what they know. That’s why leadership needs to provide context and guide teams through these changes, celebrating smart, strategic attempts at innovation. Huge thanks to all who attended!
