🏔️ Every campus deserves its own identity 🏔️ The North Housing District at Colorado State University beautifully embodies the essence of Colorado’s dynamic landscape. With distinctive flora, bold boulders, rolling hills, and breathtaking views of the Rockies, this project captures the spirit of place while prioritizing functionality and sustainability. Led by Principal Craig Russell, Russell + Mills Studios, now RVi Planning + Landscape Architecture, transformed this vision into reality. The team integrated improved circulation, effective grading and drainage solutions, and sustainable strategies, culminating in the project earning LEED Gold and LEED Platinum certifications. Sun Resorts wanted a destination resort in Larkspur, Colorado that was designed specifically for families. The “Jellystone program” was incorporated, which included signature experiences such as water parks and activities, outdoor attractions such as mini golf and outdoor theaters, and indoor activities such as escape rooms and recreational spaces. A truly rewarding aspect of our work is witnessing a project come to life. Recently, Client Development Director Jared Pyka and Project Manager Madison Dalke attended the first-ever concert at The Junction, the vibrant new amenity center at Lariat, a master-planned community in Liberty Hill, Texas. From its inception, the vision for Lariat has been to highlight the property’s stunning Hill County terrain and views while inspiring residents to spend more time outdoors. Trails, destinations, and activity nodes were thoughtfully woven into the #communitydesign to create a journey that residents of all ages can enjoy. The Junction stands as the heart of this community, inspired by one guiding principle: fun that makes it hard to leave. RVi is proud to have contributed to this project, bringing thoughtful #design and purposeful #planning to life.
