What an amazing journey we embarked on at Halcy-Con. A convention that was created by true Star Wars fans, for those that had the opportunity to experience the Halcyon Galactic Starcruiser. We were thankful to be able to be a part of this experience and create an immersive environment for everyone to enjoy! This all couldn't have been accomplished without our amazing, passionate, and caring volunteers. This is a passion project where we pour our hearts into raising money for different charities. This one was focused on Magic Wheelchair to support the amazing work they are doing for our communities. #ThrowbackThursday to this past weekend at Ocala Comic Con where we raised awareness and collected donations for the Boys & Girls Club of Citrus County! We made some incredible new partnerships with other vendors at the convention, we introduced this fun and addicting game to other Star Wars fans, and we were able to celebrate our tournament winners in 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place! Sabacc is a game for everyone of all ages and even those you might not have initially considered. Our friends at Hyperspace Props have created a colorblind-friendly deck of cards for everyone to enjoy! It is the simple tweaks and adjustments like this, to any game, that can truly make others feel included, respected, and considered. Did you know an estimated one in ten men have some form of color deficiency and an estimated 0.5% of women do too? When we played at MegaCon Orlando this past year, we had some initial hesitation from new players that mentioned they were colorblind but that all went away when we pulled out these specific decks of cards! This deck has a way to tell the red (negative) cards from the green (positive) cards by designing hallow and solid shapes at the top of each card. These new players were so happy, and they told us they were thrilled these cards were adapted to their needs in mind! This #DisabliltyPrideMonth, we want to show that sabacc is a game with everyone in mind! Huge thank you and shout out to Hyperspace Props!
