Congratulations to the UC Riverside student team for winning third place in the Student Design Competition at the Water Environment Federation Technical Exhibition and Conference (WEFTEC)! Their outstanding project, the EPA P3 Ammonia Air Scrubber, offers an innovative solution to combat ammonia air pollution from livestock facilities—addressing a critical environmental challenge while enhancing water quality. Flashback from the past! 🔬👩🔬 Picture from the past: In 1990, the laboratory was staffed with 19 professionals to support the newly built sewage treatment facility at that time. Fast forward to today: SacSewer's full-service laboratory has 30+ scientists and technical staff who conduct 89,000 lab tests each year. #SacSewer #ThrowbackThursday #Laboratory

In honor of Veterans Day, we are proudly highlighting two members of our team who have served our country. We thank William Strang and Tim Foster for their service and contributions to our nation and SacSewer. William Strang served for over 25 years. For seven of those years, he served on active duty with the United States Air Force; for the additional 18 years, he was a member of the United States Air Force Reserves. He retired in 2010 as a Chief Master Sergeant (E-9) from the 940th Civil Engineer Squadron, Beale Air Force Base. Tim Foster served a total of 26 years in the United States Army as an Infantryman and a Small Arms Weapon Instructor. His service included two deployments to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom. Thank you to all Veterans for your service! #SacSewer #VeteransDay

Yesterday, SacSewer had the pleasure of hosting a group of industry professionals from the California Alliance for Sewer System Excellence at our administrative office. The meeting was a fantastic opportunity to exchange ideas, explore innovative solutions, and discuss ways to continue improving sewage services throughout California.
