About us
The goal of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Users Group is to accelerate the development and commercialization of sustainable aviation fuel. The Sustainable Aviation Fuel Users Group (SAFUG) was formed in September 2008 with support and collaboration from the world's leading airlines, aerospace manufacturers, fuel service providers, and environmental non-governmental organizations. Consisting of 28 airlines and five affiliate members, the group focuses on accelerating the development and commercialization of sustainable aviation fuel. SAFUG believes sustainable aviation fuel is crucial for the industry to continue to grow and connect the world responsibly while lowering emissions. We believe that sustainable aviation fuel is bigger than any one airline and represents the single greatest potential means for achieving the industry’s environmental goals. As members of the SAFUG, we come together to demonstrate our collective demand for sustainable aviation fuels. The availability of sustainable aviation fuels will be critical to meeting the commercial aviation industry’s goals to reduce carbon emissions. Members have committed to advancing the development, certification, and commercial use of certifiable sustainable fuels. Without our collective commitment, we will not achieve our aims. Our Mission − Collaborate (at an industry level ) − Commit (as individual airlines) − Grow (as a market)
