Every step towards quitting smoking is a step towards reduced risk of colorectal cancer. 🚭 Did you know that smokers are about 18% more likely to develop colorectal cancer? The good news is that quitting smoking can lower your risk and boost your overall health. Here’s how quitting helps: 🔹 Reduces the risk of 12 types of cancer, including colorectal cancer 🔹 Improves survival rates for colorectal cancer patients 🔹 Enhances recovery after cancer treatment, leading to better long-term health. 🔹 Lowers the risk of cancer recurrence At SAGITTARIUS, while our clinical trial focuses on personalized treatments for colon cancer patients using liquid biopsy, we also want to take it a step further. By sharing helpful information on reducing cancer risks, like quitting smoking, we aim to support better outcomes beyond the trial. If you or someone you know is ready to quit, share this post and spread the word - it could save a life. #SAGITTARIUSEU #SAGITTARIUSProject # CRC # ColonCancerCare #HorizonEU #EUCancerMission
