    Mergers and acquisitions are exciting because they offer 1+1=3+ value propositions. But friction often arises as two enterprises figure out how to work as one.     If you’re working to achieve a merger’s 1+1=3 miracle, don’t stop at aligning technologies, operations, and management. Be sure to align sales!     Upon a merger, sales teams typically come together to learn how to sell the new value proposition. This is a great opportunity for sales training. And I’m not just talking about generic How-To-Sell training. I’m talking about everything from identifying the right prospects, discovery, ideation and negotiating contracts in your specialized healthcare market segment.     Harvard Business Review says between 70 and 90 percent of acquisitions fail, largely because of problems integrating the two parties.
