Deo was experiencing life-threatening TET spells three times a day when our Children’s Heart Project team met him in Uganda. During particularly severe episodes, his oxygen saturation levels would plummet, putting him at risk of sudden death. These crises made the journey to the U.S. dangerously uncertain, yet without surgery, his condition would be fatal. After repeated travel delays due to his fragile health, Deo’s care team determined that waiting any longer was no longer an option. In this role, you will: ✅ Provide technical guidance on the design and implementation of field projects. ✅ Conduct assessments and produce reports to ensure high-quality program design and execution. ✅ Lead training initiatives, equipping program staff with essential tools, resources, and knowledge. ✅ Represent Samaritan’s Purse Ukraine at WASH working groups, donor events, and other key forums. ✅ Pursue grant and funding opportunities while reviewing WASH-related components of proposals. ✅ Research and test innovative technologies for field implementation.
