Yesterday members of our board (Gloria James, Craig May, Melanie Delgado, EMBA, PMP, and Jacqueline Gogue) joined with SDCCOA members Katie Sinha, Roxanne Cupp, Denise Ysais of Visionary Care Consultants, and Melissa Casanova of Oasis Senior Advisors to serve lunch to attendees at Neighborhood House Association. Thank you to Cherryl M., Director of Social Services, for helping coordinate. Great job, Gloria, organizing this opportunity to serve our community.

We had a great membership meeting today, hosted by Paula Lemkuil and her team at Belmont Village Senior Living La Jolla. Thank you to Benny Juarez from the Department of Veterans Affairs for an excellent presentation. We were also able to give money to three wonderful organizations that will help feed seniors during the holidays - Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank, Serving Seniors, and ElderHelp of San Diego. Thank you to our Board for making the San Diego County Council on Aging an example of how bringing together our membership can support San Diego’s seniors - Craig May, Joel Weissler, Evelyn Parada, Elizabeth Gallaga, Melanie Delgado, EMBA, PMP, Gloria James, Jacqueline Gogue, and Rebecca Turman
