SFL attorneys David Levine, Fausto Sanchez, Chad Purdie, and Robert Kemper have prevailed in a heavily contested jurisdictional battle against two defendants alleged to have owned, controlled, and/or operated the foreign exchange trading platform FxWinning. In a 28-page decision, the Court found personal jurisdiction over both defendants and denied their respective motions to dismiss. SFL attorneys Alexander Fischer, Michael De Simone, and Elizabeth Francisco obtained a full dismissal of a putative class action lawsuit alleging violations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. The action, which was filed in the Northern District of Texas, was dismissed after SFL highlighted several problems with the claims alleged by the plaintiff. Read More: https://lnkd.in/emY6J6ps

In its first 5 years, SFL has grown in size and footprint, expanding from its 3 founding attorneys to a talented team of 12. Beginning in a modest Plantation office, it has since moved its headquarters to the heart of Miami, and boasts additional offices in Ft. Lauderdale, New York, and Los Angeles. The firm represents clients from around the world and litigates in jurisdictions throughout the United States. It has been ranked as “Highly Regarded” by Chambers USA (2023; 2024), named Top Law Firm in Commercial Litigation and International Arbitration by the South Florida Legal Guide (2021), ranked 5th out of the top 100 fastest growing alumni-owned businesses by the Seminole 100 (2022), named a Finalist for the Law Firm Champion of Women Award by MDFAWL (2024), launched a scholarship program in conjunction with FIU College of Law, and achieved numerous victories inside and outside of the courtroom.
