Last week, the School of Engineering wrapped up eWeek with the 7th Annual School of Engineering Showcase and Family Weekend. The SCDI South Lobby was bustling with families, friends, and students. Guests walked around to view over 60 poster presentations (double last year's number), showcasing research from the School of Engineering by our faculty, post-doctoral fellows, and undergraduate, master’s, and Ph.D. students! The event was a huge success! Thank you to all those who participated and helped make the event memorable.🌟 Visit the photo gallery and view the participants' posters on the 2025 Research Showcase page! https://bit.ly/43hH2MB #SCUengineering #Research

Congratulations, Sean Wu and Raj Kalra! Way to represent #SCUengineering!🔥
When NVIDIA and Vercel hosted their exclusive “World's Shortest Hackathon,” two teams of Santa Clara University students were selected from hundreds of applicants around the world. Armed with AI tools and creativity, these Broncos had just 120 minutes to build something extraordinary. 💡✨ Sean Wu ’27 and Raj Kalra ’27—aka SCU's Team Educate—soared to 2nd place in the competition, earning the duo a GPU signed by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang. Their groundbreaking AI tool, which creates real-time, interactive learning materials for teachers, is able to: ✅ Automate lecture materials, reducing prep time for educators ✅ Enhance student learning through interactive, AI-generated content ✅ Use AI-powered speech-to-webpage generation Want to explore AI innovation at SCU? Students from any major can join SCU AI Collaborate, a registered student organization, for weekly builds, Silicon Valley guest speakers, and access to NVIDIA’s student network.
