CUFFED & CHARGED: Two women are suspected of stealing lipstick and beauty products from Ulta Beauty in City of Cupertino. Last week, the store’s loss prevention manager notified detectives who immediately followed the suspects’ car and made a traffic stop. One of the suspects was on probation for grand theft in another county. While searching the car, beauty products and new merchandise with tags from ROSS DRESS FOR LESS were found totaling more than $2,600. The second suspect admitted to stealing the items from various stores, including a City of San José Ross store. Investigators also found directions to a nearby Ulta store and determined both women planned to commit additional thefts. In fact, the car was spotted at several retail locations throughout the central coast and southern California. Both women were arrested and booked into the County of Santa Clara Main Jail. The 17th Annual Shop with a Cop, Heroes and Helpers event was a great success! This collaboration among local law enforcement agencies created a memorable day for deserving children, while getting everyone in the Christmas spirit. Also, our pre-academy recruits built community connections, fostering trust and a positive relationship between law enforcement and children. The recruits were able to guide them through arts and crafts activities, following the student's shopping spree at Target. This is all made possible by the Shop with a Cop Foundation of Silicon Valley. #shopwithacop #santaclaracounty #sccso #deputysheriff #givingback #community
