Southeast and Caribbean Disaster Resilience Partnership (SCDRP)

Are you a graduate student or post-doc in the marine science or computer science field looking for opportunities? Come work with us!! SECOORA is seeking a graduate or post-doc student to examine ocean temperature regimes in the Southeast United States, specifically offshore of NC, SC, GA, and FL. This project will support a student to extract surface and subsurface temperature data from the SECOORA data portal, identify any data gaps, and conduct preliminary analysis. The student will also collaborate with the CARICOOS INC and Gulf of Mexico Coastal Ocean Observing System (GCOOS) to create a more holistic understanding of nearshore oceanic temperature changes. GA Sea Grant Request for Proposals Planning Grants focus on fostering community engagement, prioritizing underserved communities, and supporting foundational activities. Transformational Habitat Restoration and Coastal Resilience Grants | NOAA Fisheries Projects selected through this funding opportunity will have a transformative impact for coastal communities and tribes across the country. They will help sustain our nation’s fisheries, make significant strides in the recovery of threatened and endangered species, and help protect coastal communities and ecosystems from the impacts of climate change. NOAA will accept proposals between $750,000 and $10 million for the entire award, with typical funding anticipated to range from $4 million to $6 million. https://shorturl.at/0m91k 4. North Carolina Sea Grant is now accepting preproposals for the 2026–2028 Applied Costal Research grant cycle, with awards up to $150,000 each for projects that address problems affecting coastal ecosystems, economies, and communities. Vanguard Charitable Sustainable Disaster-Relief Fund  This fund supports communities as they rebuild and establish necessary infrastructure to better handle the impact of a repeat disaster.
