Are you looking for the best job ever? Schoolgirl Style is looking to add to our creative team!! The Design Associate contractor will work seamlessly with other associates under the direction of the Creative Director to produce fun, creative, branded educational materials and decor for children and parents. Ideal candidates thrive in a friendly, team focused and self-motivated all remote atmosphere. Must be available for between 20 and 40 hours per week. Requirements: Access to and proficiency in Adobe In Design, Photoshop, Illustrator and Acrobat (current Creative Cloud subscription preferred) as well as font management software (for example Suitcase Fusion) Availability for regular weekly daytime team meetings via Google Meet (and familiarity with Google Workspace) Required Experience: · In Design: page layout for print and PDF output; familiarity with stylesheets and tables; Attention to detail regarding margins, folios, colorspace output, etc. · Photoshop: photo retouching and editing of color, masks, clipping paths, simple effects. · Illustrator: generating clean, simple vector graphics and illustrative elements; Manipulating and converting images to vector. · Acrobat: generating and reviewing PDF proofs; performing preflight for press; utilizing provided presets for output. Preferred skills: · Clean, organized and efficient file management. Familiarity with file sharing via Dropbox · An eye for visual balance, composition and style consistency of single page layouts across multiple documents. · Thorough adherence to guidelines, style guides, templates and proof change requests. · Ability to meet weekly deadlines, perform quick turnarounds and produce multiple iterations on a theme. · Flexibility and responsiveness- comfortable picking up work in progress and passing off files to others for finishing.
