Designer Spotlight: Teal & Scott! Teal Davison and Wendy Scott share a passion for creating modern designs that show the warmth of the Pacific Northwest. Their intentional, detail-oriented approach brings clients' visions to life, blending fun and livable elements into every space they design. When Wendy bought this cabin as a peaceful retreat for her family, it was fully furnished but lacked the desired aesthetic. Gradually, outdated items were swapped out for fresh furnishings, locally sourced décor from Central Oregon, and small yet impactful upgrades like new light switches and knobs. This transformation is an ongoing labor of love, turning the cabin into a stylish, welcoming escape for the whole family. Employee Spotlight: Ian McMurray! What do you do here? I am the Assistant Product Designer. How long have you worked here? I have been working here for 4 months. What is your favorite item in your home? My favorite item in my home is a vintage, wooden stacking toy. It has five wooden pegs that you stack these colorful wooden donuts on, then top each peg off with a cute, unique head. It’s fun to rearrange every now and again with different color combinations. What are you watching or listening to currently? Over The Garden Wall, the best fall / halloween time show. What are you currently working on? I’m currently working on designing products for Schoolhouse Spring 2026. What is your favorite product? My favorite Schoolhouse product is the Barnes Pendant in cobalt. The High Point Market Authority  in North Carolina is the ultimate event for home furnishings, bringing together industry leaders to discover the newest in design. It was such an honor for Schoolhouse as our manager of Trade Sales, Alison Weitzner, was able to attend this years market and we asked her how it was!! "I had such a great time representing Schoolhouse at the High Point's Fall 2024 Market! North Carolina in the Fall was stunning and there was a palpable vibrance in the area of designers and creatives from all over the world. Many of the conversations showcased the importance of American manufacturing and timeless design which made me endlessly proud to be a part of the Schoolhouse family!
