  • 🚨 Eye-opening Plastic Waste Experiment Incoming!🚨 One person. One year. 89 kilograms of plastic waste. Our good friend Fred from The Hive Principle collected every piece of plastic he used in 2023, and the results are staggering. If everyone in Chicago consumed like Fred, that's 6.3 million kilos of plastic annually. Scale that to America? 30.2 billion kilos 🤯 But here's the thing - you can't manage what you don't measure. Using Scrapp's zero-waste data system, we've been able to determine: 🧴 How plastic consumption habits vary throughout the year ♻️ Recycling rates of plastic in the US and UK 📉 Areas to improve and REDUCE waste in the first place Check out our latest reports on the findings 👇 #Sustainability #PlasticWaste #ClimateAction #WasteReduction #ZeroWaste #CircularEconomy

  • Celebrating our Customers 💚 Culimer recently published their impact report and they are making waves ( 😉 ) on full supply chain traceability and improving sustainability efforts in the fish industry. They also kindly included some of the work we contributed to in their waste and recycling initiatives through our partnership with GS1 US. Using our system, the team can now: 🔢 Quantify their material consumption 🌱 Optimize for recyclable and compostable materials 📉 Discover areas to reduce waste across the board It is also awesome to see Culimer collaborating with our friends at the UNH Sustainability Institute to quantify their emissions! Amazing work Culimer team for making impact happen 🤝

  • 🎶 Allow me to re-introduce myself! 🎤 We recently changed our online name... but why?! The circular economy extends far beyond recycling. From reuse to composting, new waste disposal methods are gaining momentum - each bringing unique challenges in infrastructure and education. Our technology has always addressed this full spectrum, so our brand needed to reflect that - check us out at our new home: www.scrappzero.com! We operate in the critical space from product design to disposal - where 80% of the environmental impact originates. This is where we can truly reduce waste, not just manage it. We're driving change in the zero-waste space across three key areas: 1. Brands & Retailers We help companies design products with end-of-life in mind. After all, what's the value of creating the most recyclable product if consumers don't know how to dispose of it properly? Our data bridges the gap between product design and real-world disposal behavior. 2. Businesses There are rising costs from waste handling, contamination fees, and increasing regulation. We provide automated tracking and communication tools that streamline waste programs across teams, making zero-waste choices economically smart choices. 3. Communities With only 5% of plastic ever getting recycled, consumers are rightfully skeptical and confused by conflicting disposal rules. Our technology makes proper waste disposal convenient, accurate, and measurable - showing people their direct contribution to the circular economy. Why these three areas? They represent the highest-leverage opportunities to: - Transform consumer behavior - Convert waste into valuable commodities - Drive widespread adoption of circular practices Scrapp's technology connects these stakeholders through a common data platform and shared language, making zero-waste accessible to everyone. The interconnectedness will ensure the system wide change needed to live in a waste-free world. 👀 Stay tuned for major platform updates - follow us to be part of the zero-waste revolution. #ZeroWaste #WasteReduction #CircularEconomy
