Here are this week's news highlights in #OceanPolicy: – Sens. Thomas Carper (D-DE), Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV), and seven bipartisan cosponsors introduced the America’s Conservation Enhancement Reauthorization Act. The bill would reauthorize habitat and wildlife conservation efforts throughout the country, including the North American #Wetlands #Conservation Act, the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation Establishment Act, and the #Chesapeake Bay Program. – The Department of Energy (DOE) is investing $4.75 million to establish a new national center of excellence to accelerate reliable and equitable #offshorewind energy deployment. – Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), who regularly engages on ocean and coastal issues, announced that her Chief of Staff, Kaleb Froehlich, will be leaving the office for the private sector.
