#communityask #timesensitive #jobshadow #techgirls Sharing on behalf of our friends at World Affairs Council- Seattle. Time sensitive ask for this coming Monday, the 29th from 2-3:30 PM for job shadow opportunities for teens in a visiting TechGirls program. "We're a Seattle nonprofit and we're excited to welcome an exchange program called TechGirls. It is an international summer exchange program designed to empower and inspire young girls ages 15-17 years old from around the world to pursue careers in STEM. It's an initiative of the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, and we will be welcoming a cohort from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan to Seattle. If you have 1.5 hours on Monday for TechGirls to follow you around then please let me know!! This could involve a tour, but is more supposed to be just observation of women doing cool stuff, and chatting and sharing your story! " Date: Monday, July 29th Time: 2:00 - 3:30 pm We encourage them to break into groups of 2 and join women in the workforce. A "job shadow" can entail: a tour of the space, attending meetings, learning about projects you're doing, including the Techgirls in a presentation, etc. We will arrange transportation. Interested? Please contact Camille at cadkinsrieck@world-affairs.org https://lnkd.in/gEqAUXKM
