This Wednesday, Securian Financial hosted their in-person Connected Day, bringing together over 40 employees to volunteer on 11 challenges from 10 local nonprofits. Throughout this day-long event, volunteers tackled issues ranging from donor system assessments and annual marketing campaigns to employee retention and public relations strategies. It was inspiring to witness the creative solutions and meaningful connections formed between volunteers and nonprofits. A huge thank you to everyone who made this impactful day a success!

Today was one of those days that really filled my cup. Securian Financial hosted a pro bono volunteer day with HandsOn Twin Cities. Over 40 volunteers worked with multiple nonprofits on issues important to them. It was so great to see the gamut of issues tackled. From staff retention to data collection & management to strategy planning, Securian volunteers got to share knowledge on the things they know best on topics identified by the participating nonprofits. This type of volunteering is mutually beneficial and creates deep partnerships. Shout out to Kate Mayer and Brittany Taylor, SHRM-CP for organizing such an impactful event. #TeamSecurianFinancial

The Cloud Center of Excellence hosted an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Game Day at the office! 👨💻 13 teams solved complex problems using AWS services in a gamified competition. It was a great opportunity to foster teamwork and provide employees with valuable hands-on experience.
