  • Part 1: Get a Head Start on your Dream Landscape Winter in Austin is the ideal time to plan your landscape vision and prep hardscaping projects for a perfect spring transformation. Here are 2 things you can do now. We'll build on this list in the coming posts. If you are ready to get a jump on your project, email us at hello@seedlingsats.com to get the conversation started. 1️⃣Now’s the time to sketch out your dream. Winter gives you the space to think through the bones of your landscape, including the flow and which hardscaping features will work best with Austin’s unique vibe. 2️⃣Austin summers are brutal, so select materials that can stand up to both our hot sun and occasional cold snaps. Think: Flagstone or lueders, composite wood, permeable pavers. #landscapedesign #outdoorliving #austin

  • Seedlings has grown over the years and with that, so has the team. We thought we’d introduce you. Meet Reese, Seedlings owner and our lead designer. What began as a one woman crew has evolved to become an award winning landscape design+build company having served hundreds of clients. Reese is an active member of NARI, serving on their Workforce Development Committee, and is excited to get involed as a new allied member of AIA Austin. Outside of work, Reese and her wife are foster parents to two infants – so they are happily busy, to say the least!

  • In 2025, luxury isn’t just about high-end materials, it’s about being environmentally conscious while enhancing your outdoor space. Sustainable landscapes are at the forefront of this new year, and for good reason. Drought-tolerant, native plants are not only beautiful but practical for Austin’s climate. Materials like permeable pavers and recycled stone create stunning outdoor features that help manage water runoff and reduce waste. Whether you’re building a new patio or updating your driveway, these materials offer both environmental benefits and a sophisticated aesthetic. From wildflowers and prairie grasses to hardy shrubs and trees, native plants add natural beauty while contributing to a healthier ecosystem. Let's discuss your project! hello@seedlingsatx.com

  • In 2025, your backyard should be as smart as your smartphone! Technology is revolutionizing the way we care for and enjoy our outdoor spaces, and this year, "smart gardens" will be a big part of your design. Irrigation systems can be controlled using your phone and can adjust themselves based on real-time weather conditions, ensuring your plants are always hydrated but never overwatered. This will help you save time, money, and water.
