In honor of National Career Development Month, we are thrilled to spotlight two of our Regional Vice Presidents who are celebrating 40 remarkable years of service: Joey M. and Shawn S. Career Highlights: 🛒 Both began their career paths as store associates, growing through various roles throughout their stores and, ultimately, their regions. 🏆 Joey and Shawn have both been recognized for their exceptional contributions, receiving accolades such as Store Director of the Year (Shawn) and Store Manager of the Year (Joey). Fun Facts: 🌎 Joey has lived and worked in all four of our current Winn-Dixie operating regions and has served in a leadership role for three of those four regions.  💒 Shawn met his wife at Winn-Dixie store #377 in Sunrise, Florida. He shares, “I was having a bad day, and she offered me a donut on a Saturday morning, with a smile… the rest is history.”   Joey and Shawn are both outstanding examples of what can be accomplished by taking ownership of your career and personal growth. Their impact and contributions are felt throughout our organization as they continue to lead, mentor and support our store teams. Each year, we're proud to announce our Store Manager of the Year award, a prestigious recognition given to one of our many exceptional and talented store leaders who exemplifies our values, champions our culture of belonging and consistently delivers results. This year, it is our honor to share that Cory W., Store Manager at Winn-Dixie store #2306 in Sanford, Florida has been recognized as the SEG Store Manager of the Year! Cory is a well-rounded leader who is seen as a pillar both in his store and in his community. He continuously champions growth by encouraging mentorship and collaboration among his entire team. As a people-first company, we are proud to uplift and empower the diverse communities we serve through our Romay Davis Belonging, Inclusion and Diversity Grant. Our grant’s namesake, Ms. Romay as she was lovingly called, died earlier this year at the rich age of 104. Many knew and loved Ms. Romay, and we're proud to carry on her legacy through this annual grant program. This year, we are supporting a record number of 50 nonprofits, awarding a total of $487,500 in funding, in remembrance and celebration of her impactful life. The organizations selected exemplify the same dedication to inclusivity and empowerment that Ms. Romay lived out each and every day.
