🔬 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲: Early Cancer Detection Through Body Odor Analysis and AI-Powered Nanosensors A huge thank you to Manos Capital team and UM6P - University Mohammed VI Polytechnic for this incredible feature on our project at CES 2025 at Las Vegas! At SenseBioTek Health Care, we are developing a medical electronic nose that detects cancer at an early stage by analyzing volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted by the human body. 𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗴𝗮𝗺𝗲-𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿? 💡 ⚡ 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁 & 𝗡𝗼𝗻-𝗜𝗻𝘃𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 – a simple test with no need for a full-body examination. 🌍 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 – designed for general practice use without complex equipment. 🔬 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 – developed with leading institutions such as ESPCI Paris - PSL, Université Paris Cité, Université Gustave Eiffel, and École Polytechnique Paris. With the support of Bpifrance and UM6P - University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, we are advancing towards a more preventive and equitable healthcare system, making a direct impact in regions with limited access to specialized care. Empowering Diverse Founders | Managing Director at Manos Capital | Championing Sustainable Innovation
In the spirit of bridging innovation and impact across emerging markets, every Friday, I’ll be highlighting #diversefounders who are driving meaningful change. 🌺 Today, I’m excited to introduce Nabil Moumane, founder of SenseBioTek Health Care, a #biotech startup on a mission to revolutionize early #cancer detection using #AI-powered nanosensors. 🧬 Why this hits home: Growing up in Tahiti, cancer wasn’t just a statistic—it was personal. I lost too many family members to cancer, and the 193 nuclear tests France conducted in Polynesia from 1966 to 1996 left behind environmental and health challenges that we’re still facing. For every month cancer goes undetected, mortality risk increases by 10%. Early detection isn’t just a luxury—it’s a lifeline. 📉 The Problem: Delayed cancer diagnosis leads to higher mortality rates and more expensive treatments, particularly in regions with limited access to specialists. 💡 The Solution: SenseBiotek’s medical electronic nose detects cancer by analyzing body odor, specifically volatile organic compounds (VOCs) emitted through the skin. The process is non-invasive, fast, and scalable—perfect for use by general practitioners without the need for full-body exams. 🌍 A Vision for Global Impact: While starting with skin cancer, this technology can extend to other types of cancer, transforming healthcare access and outcomes worldwide. 🔗 What makes SenseBiotek stand out: Partnerships with top academic institutions like ESPCI Paris - PSL, Université Paris Cité médecine, Université Gustave Eiffel, and École Polytechnique have helped shape the company’s innovative approach. They’ve also earned grants from Bpifrance. 💬 I was thrilled to meet Nabil at the Africa Pavilion during #CES2025 with the suport from UM6P - University Mohammed VI Polytechnic, where I saw firsthand how his vision is aligned with the innovations we support at Manos Capital. This is more than just tech—it’s a mission to save lives and create equitable access to early detection across emerging markets like Africa, LATAM, and Oceania. 💬 Tagging some of my #medtech network : Bob Crutchfield Danielle D'Agostaro Dr. Prasun Mishra Dr. John Lee Allen Gary Goldman MD, DDS, MBA Mike Ryan Ike Syed Peter N.
