Oral sensory processing is vital for how children experience food and manage oral activities. Some kids may face challenges like oral hypersensitivity, leading to picky eating and resistance to dental care, while others may have hyposensitivity and seek out strong flavors or chew non-food items. A Few Suggestions of How to Help: *Offer crunchy or chewy foods (granola, raw veggies). *Encourage drinking purees through straws. *Introduce cold or spicy foods (frozen fruits, salsa). *Try gum for extra chewing practice.
