  • Secretary Hegseth's Message to the Force is just as much a message to American businesses. "We will rebuild our military by matching threats to capabilities. This means reviving our defense industrial base, reforming our acquisition process, passing a financial audit, and rapidly fielding emerging technologies. We will remain the strongest and most lethal force in the world." Government industry sorely needs new players, new solutions, new ideas to harness the full potential of what the U.S. private sector can bring to the fight.

  • Businesses looking to break into government contracts in 2025, here's your roadmap and timeline: Step 1. Complete a Market Assessment Understand how the government buys your capabilities, what your federal market looks like, and where best to pursue. For those needing expertise, Serellium creates highly customized market assessments for businesses in under two weeks. Step 2. Develop a Federal Expansion Plan Map out a roadmap to translate your products or services in the easiest way possible to government contracts. Create phased approach to pursue incrementally higher value contracts based on market research revealing most viable entry and expansion opportunities. Step 3. Revamp Communications Develop your government-facing capability statement, pitch deck, and government solutions webpage with messaging that resonates with government customers and partners. Step 4. Execute a Partnership & Engagement Strategy Identify key events, conferences, industry day opportunities with government customers and partners to build your federal market network, targeting prioritized agencies. Step 5. Commence Capture Process Establish (or outsource) capture management to identify critical industry days and meet & greets, find and vet solicitations, and assess for bid/no-bid action. • The House Task Force on Artificial Intelligence released its end-of-year report yesterday. Key takeaways for AI solutions entering federal government market: 1. No one solution. Diversity in AI applications are both critical and inevitable. All promising AI capabilities should be coming to the table at this stage. 2. Customization wins. Every federal agency requires unique solutions, aligned with unique mission sets and regulatory needs. Agency-specific policies, requirements, and solicitations will showcase the needs. 3. Congress endorses leveraging AI to reduce administrative bureaucracy. This endorsement will translate to continued investments and interest in new, wide-ranging solutions across federal government. 4. Congress emphasizes transparency of AI adoptions for government tasks. Agency releases of AI adoption state-of-plays will reveal gaps and progress — and how new capabilities can fit in.
