One of the most common questions we get at Serif Health is: "What is Serif doing with AI?" The truth is AI (at least as an acronym...) runs through everything we do: - First, we pioneered Automated Ingestion (AI 1.0) of 350 billion rows+ of payer machine readable files monthly -Then, we built an industry-leading A(P)I (AI 2.0) to traverse the data in real-time to power web apps, find care tools, and cost estimation -But now, we've used the latest in LLMs to add an actual AI assistant (AI 3.0) to our Signal platform! As we approach the end of the year, Serif Health is kicking off the holiday season with a free gift to all of our Signal platform subscribers: your own personal AI assistant to create custom visualizations, grab 2nd-order insights, and clarify any questions. Enjoy! Read more about it here: https://lnkd.in/gBbRxJFr

As we head into the final stretch of 2024, the Serif Health team is back on the blog to share our latest learnings and insights working with price transparency data for our customers. Matthew Robben continues our series on working with the V2 Hospital Price Transparency data and how we have automated data collection of the latest hospital reimbursement data this quarter. Lots of exciting updates as we roll this offering out: https://lnkd.in/gpcVBKif At the same time, there is a lot of rich data in the price transparency files beyond prices - so Anav Sharma has written about how machine readable files have some powerful and creative provider directory and provider analytics use cases for Serif Health customers: https://lnkd.in/gcvuBVAC If any of these are of interest, please reach out: https://lnkd.in/gGu4iiqu. Our team would love to connect and share more, and stay tuned for more exciting updates through the end of the year!

This week on the Serif Health Blog, we have an exciting follow-up post from founding engineer Derek Pedersen on the MRF ingestion process. In March, Derek shared how our monthly ingestion engine works to capture the monthly MRF data from hundreds of health plans and keep our Table of Contents up to date. In Part 2 of his series this month, he jumps into what we do next with those files. Read on for a technical deep dive into how Serif Health takes new monthly Table of Contents file from a payer and uses it to define a network and extract the reimbursement data from the relevant associated files! https://lnkd.in/gyY6zR9k #pricetransparency #engineering #dataoperations

Today, we are exploring a question about the price transparency data that so many of our customers are very interested in. How are value-based payments or non-fee-for-service arrangements for providers represented in the price transparency MRF data? While the large majority of commercial reimbursements are fee-for-service, Anav Sharma shares how several other contracting arrangements from bundled payments to case rates and capitation are all represented in the MRF data and can be analyzed by the Serif Health team. With so much potential for value-based care to grow in the commercial insurance space and more regulatory updates for payer data requirements on the horizon, we anticipate more and more of these arrangements to emerge in the price transparency data moving forward. Read on here: https://lnkd.in/gFAncVXN And feel free to reach out to the Serif Health team to learn more or schedule a demo: https://lnkd.in/gqZr-3Uf
