Why unoriginal B2B content is not helping business Bland, Weak 'Meh' content does not move the needle. Here's why: - It doesn't stand out - It doesn't gain attention - It doesn't build credibility It just get's lost in a sea of sameness. If you're in a competitive space like B2B SAAS, we all have access to the same tools & data... (which then gets rehashed in search results) Instead when you combine - Existing data & content - Deep ICP Research - Creative SEO thinking You create something original. And... you get results. (Plus it sets you up way better for repurposing content) What do you think?

How 1 Technical Fix lifted organic traffic 68% in 30 days Earlier this year, we started working with a client who had seen a severe drop in organic traffic. The reason? A site migration (gone wrong) It’s common during brand redesigns & site-migrations to use a noindex tag while pages are still in dev mode. The problem is after go-live, the noindex was left on for the entire blog (and nobody spotted it). Fortunately, during our website quality audit, this was picked up. Once it was fixed, traffic jumped right back up. So what’s the lesson? A technical SEO analysis of your site is usually a 'one & done' activity. However, if you’re making wholesale changes to the website, make sure an SEO is involved in some capacity. If there’s no SEO input, the probability of something going wrong goes way up. Whether that’s… - No-index tags being misused - 404’s - Broken backlinks and more… can all lead to drops in rankings. Need help with your SEO & Content strategy? drop me a DM.

Your B2B blog is your 24/7 autopilot sales person It creates a compounding effect, where assets continue to generate value over time. But you need to: 1. Invest in high-performing content types Audiences searching for the [best software/app/platform], or [alternative software/app/platform] are more likely to opt for a new solution. They also experience pain with current products they are using. 2. Develop evergreen content assets Guides need to show your software/app/platform as a solution. Avoid generalized and generated guides with no context.. 3. Create scalable content production processes Use templates, develop feature documents, develop briefs and outlines. 4. Align content strategy with specific financial objectives Your content strategy should directly tie to measurable business objectives, such as increasing monthly recurring revenue (MRR), reducing customer acquisition costs (CAC), or improving customer lifetime value (CLV). So where do you begin? Engage in deep ICP analysis & then create targeted content like: * comparison pages * competitor alternatives * product demo guides  * case studies  The content should address specific objections AND highlight your value proposition. Each piece of content should serve a purpose in your funnel—whether it’s attracting top-of-funnel leads, nurturing them in the middle of the funnel with email sequences, or closing sales at the bottom.  No random content for content’s sake. This system results for our clients (on average) 4x their profits 300% increase in trials YOY Month 1 publishing 146% increase in trials YOY Month 2 publishing 195% increase in trials over the 2 months of publishing Can't do it yourself? That's ok, you can partner with us and focus on other core functions in your company. Remember: Blogs can be repurposed as sales & retention assets too. Repurposing blog posts is not just for social media. Sure a blog post can be diced into - 10 Tweets - 5 LinkedIn posts - 2 Emails But it can also be used for: - Sales calls - Presentation decks - Customer emails (think retention) - Communities where your audience is inquiring about it - Promoting product-centric content in customer onboarding emails If you're in a competitive space like B2B SAAS, getting as much value from your marketing is crucial. For me, blog posts are a great 'content workhorse' and place to start. How do you repurpose blog posts? P.S Thanks to Usman for some of the ideas on repurposing

4.5 Reasons why Quantity matters in B2B Marketing Im big on quality. If you don’t have quality content - it’s really worth asking if it should be published in the first place. But quantity matters too. It’s how you get the ‘reps’ in. Here’s 4.5 reasons why it matters:   1) The 7-11-4 Rule A consumer needs 7 hours of engagement, across 11 touchpoints, in 4 separate locations. More content = greater opportunities to be present in touchpoints (enter repurposing your blog content) More Mind share = More Market Share 2) More blog content = More valuable Search Console data The difference in quality of data between GSC accounts with a blog history vs no blogging history is night and day. The more you put out - the more data you get back in terms of search terms. 3) Longer Sales Cycles B2B tends to have longer sales cycles. More (strategic) content allows you to be present at different stages of the buyer journey. This build trust and familiarity along different stages of the journey and ultimately makes closing deals easier. 4) Repurposing Power 1 blog post might give you 6 tweets, 4 LinkedIn posts & 2 email newsletters. But 10 blog posts will give you a lot more ammo for your distribution & ideation efforts. 4.5) Psychology Bonus: The Mere Exposure effect This piggy-backs off of the 7-11-4. Encase you didn't buy that; here’s the evolutionary psychology angle: The more you see something, the more you trust it. Familiarity creates a sense of trust. It worked for Donnie Brasco and it can work for your B2B content. What do you think?

If you’ve just 1 CTA at the end of a long blog post, odds are, your readers are not seeing it. A few months back, we setup MS Clarity for a B2B SAAS client. We let it run for 1 month before making any changes to the site. We noticed after 1 month, roughly 𝟗𝟎% 𝐨𝐟 𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐬 were not scrolling all the way to the bottom of blog posts (especially on long form content). We then - Made select blog posts more product focused - Got to the point straight away - Made the writing more snappy - Included CTA’s further up the content What was the result? In 1 blog post, 30 days after the optimisation, there was - Increase in Conversions (3x) - Increase in time on page (6 seconds) - And even less people scrolling to the bottom of the page (90% → 99%) So what’s the key takeaways? - Challenge your assumptions. Don’t assume what the reader consumes on page. Check the data with a tool like MS Clarity - It’s ok to use a CTA more than once on a blog post - Get to the point and meet search intent ASAP in the content What do you think?

How long does B2B SEO take to work? If you ask any SEO, you’ll likely hear ‘it depends’. The biggest factors for trying to give a timeline are: - Your site’s age & authority - The competitiveness of your niche - Your budget So if we are talking ballpark timeframes, on the lower end 3-6 months. Higher end 18+ months. If you already have an established site and are sitting on lots of ‘striking distance’ content, the timeline can likely be cut. So what else can shrink timelines? 1. Quality SEO Strategist If you work with someone that knows the battle field, they will strategically know what to prioritise. For example, they’ll go after low hanging fruit to start. This brings business quicker & helps to build & maintain momentum. 2. Publishing Frequency. If you’re publishing 10 articles a month vs 1, then you’re going to get there a lot quicker. Likewise, if you’re building quality links as you go, that too will condense timelines. 3. Google being Google Sometimes you can do everything right in the book, but you don’t get to see the fruit of your work until the next Google update. We cant control when that happens, but that can affect timelines. Need help with your B2B SEO? Drop me a DM.
