The insurance company is NOT🙅🏻♂️ your friend after an auto accident. The company's priority is to minimize payouts, not to protect your best interests. They often aim to settle quickly for less than you deserve, using tactics that can undervalue your claim. Having your own legal representation ensures you get the compensation you’re entitled to, rather than settling for what benefits the insurance company.

Many people think this is true... here are the facts ✏️ : 1️⃣ Many Cases Settle Quickly: A large percentage of personal injury cases settle within months, especially when liability is clear, and both parties are motivated to resolve the matter efficiently. 2️⃣ Insurance Company Incentives: Insurance companies often prefer to settle quickly to avoid the costs of litigation and prolonged legal battles. 3️⃣ Alternative Dispute Resolution: Many cases end with mediation or arbitration, which can significantly speed up the resolution process compared to a trial. 4️⃣ Client Needs: Injured clients typically want a resolution as quickly as possible to cover medical expenses and other costs, creating pressure for faster settlements. 5️⃣ Court System Efficiency: In many jurisdictions, the court system has streamlined processes for cases like personal injury, helping to move cases through the system more quickly. 6️⃣ Settlements Before Lawsuits: In many cases, settlements are reached before a lawsuit is even filed, cutting down on potential delays. The bottom line is that while the complexity of a case of course determines how long it is open, this isn’t the norm for the majority of personal injury claims.

Contrary to popular belief, going to your primary care after an auto accident isn’t always what we recommend... here’s why. #floridaattorney #caraccidentattorney #personalinjuryattorney #attorneytampa #tampaattorney

Yeah, size does matter… especially when it comes to the level of care and attention your case receives. At a smaller firm, you're not just another file number—you get the personalized focus your case deserves. At Serrano Law, we're proud to only take a select number of cases at a time. It means giving each of our clients the time the truly deserve to maximize the value of their case.

It's true. A recent study conducted by the U.S. Bureau of Justice Statistics (BJS) found the following: ⚖️ Plaintiffs prevailed in roughly half of the cases that proceeded to trial. ⚖️ The likelihood of success for plaintiffs varied significantly based on the type of case. ⚖️ In car accident trials, plaintiffs secured compensation 61% of the time. ⚖️ However, in medical malpractice trials, plaintiffs won just 26% of cases. So when does a case actually make it to trial? Well, Some cases may never settle due to disagreements between the victim and the responsible party or other complications. In these instances, there isn't enough mutual understanding for the two sides to reach an agreement. A trial is then called.

Is AI going to replace lawyers? Some believe AI will replace lawyers due to its ability to automate legal research and document review. However, it's unlikely because legal practice requires complex judgment, ethical reasoning, and human empathy that AI cannot fully replicate. Send this to someone who uses Interstate 4 regularly... According to data compiled by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), I-4, which spans 132 miles from Tampa to Daytona Beach and passes through Orlando, experiences 34 fatal car accidents per 100 miles. So what makes this highway so dangerous? 1️⃣ Heavy traffic 2️⃣ Tourist attractions 3️⃣ Hazardous driving conditions 4️⃣ Outdated infrastructure Next time you're driving down I-4, be extra vigilant of those around you. If possible, take backroads to get to your destination, and be extra cautious when driving late at night and in rush hour.

Throwback to a successful case 🏆 In 2018, our client, a veteran truck driver, was involved in a car accident in Osceola County, Florida, caused by road rage from Allstate's insured. The driver abruptly pulled in front of our client's 18-wheeler and brake-checked, leading to a collision that severely injured our client's left knee. Despite clear evidence of the insured's negligence, Allstate initially denied liability, forcing our client to litigate. In 2023, our firm took over, pressing for damages beyond the $100,000 policy limit. Just before trial, Allstate finally settled for $175,000—$75,000 above policy limits, compensating for our client's extensive medical expenses and the costs incurred due to Allstate's delay in acknowledging fault. Mike's response to this case was "never stop fighting the fight. Happy client. Good times." We love it!
