Last week, the SETAC Europe 26th LCA Symposium wrapped up with incredible success! Co-hosted with the Swedish Life Cycle Center, this was our biggest and best LCA event yet! 🌟 The turnout was phenomenal—thank you to the passionate LCA community for showing up in full force! It was inspiring to see so many experts coming together to push the boundaries of sustainability. SETAC EUROPE 26TH LCA SYMPOSIUM | 🌟 Final day highlights of the symposium! 🌟 As we wrap up this year's symposium, we have enjoyed an enriching last day filled with valuable knowledge sharing and networking, covering many important subjects in the life cycle field. 🔍 Key sessions included: ◽ Circular Economy and Life Cycle Assessment: Towards Sustainable Decisions (3.04) Asma Al Hosni, Lucia Rigamonti, Venkata Krishna K Upadhyayula and Yulia (Yu) Liu ◽ Modelling Biogenic Carbon in Life Cycle (1.05) Cecilia Sundberg, Iris Kral and Gulnara Shavalieva Additionally, participants engaged in impactful side events, including the workshop "Closing the Gap. The Critical Role of LCA Methodology in Decision Making. Effective Policy Requires harmonization – Way Forward for PEF and EPD" with Nordic Environmental Footprint Group. The discussions focused on the consequences of calculating and presenting value-chain LCA-based ESG data when methodological frameworks, impact types, and data quality are not harmonized. We concluded our symposium with a Closing Ceremony that featured a Closing Panel, moderated by Anna Björklund and included Hampus André, Mauro CORDELLA, Archana Datta, Susan Iliefski-Janols, and Mikołaj Owsianiak 🔍 Thank you to all attendees and speakers for contributing to the success of our final day of the symposium.
