🌟 Empowering the Future Through Representation 🌟 The SFLHCC Foundation and its President Liliam Lopez, Dr. (h.c.) hosted an inspiring roundtable discussion with scholarship recipients and their teacher from Miami-Dade County Public Schools. These scholarships provide essential support to financially disadvantaged minority students, helping them achieve their academic dreams. We are proud to help students see representation of successful Hispanic leaders, showing them the potential they have to succeed and thrive in their own journeys. Special thanks to Felipe Basulto, Chair of the SFLHCC Foundation, Alejandro Mendieta, Board Member, Mike Fernandez, VP at Waste Pro, and Andres Chaparro, General Manager of WSFL, who presented a generous $2,500 check for the Foundation through the Scripps Howard Fund and WSFL Ch39 Grant. Together, we are shaping the next generation of leaders! 💙

This past Friday, the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (SFLHCC) and the Hispanic Women’s Society Network hosted its Annual Women Empowering & Embracing Women Awards Panel Discussion Luncheon, presented by Jackson Health System. The Title Sponsor Coastal Wealth. The event, with the theme Elements of White🤍, featured opening remarks by the Honorable Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. The panel discussion, titled “The State of Miami Dade County Ports,” was moderated by Univision 23 News Anchor Jenny Padura and included insightful contributions from Hydi Webb, Director & CEO of PortMiami, and Ralph Cutié, Director & CEO of Miami International Airport. It was an inspiring afternoon celebrating leadership, empowerment, and the achievements of incredible community leaders. Thank you to everyone who joined us and made this event a success!
