This month, we’re shining a spotlight on our HR Director, Aarti Rajkomar, as she celebrates her 5th anniversary at SGS & Co! 🎉 Recently named Most Sustainable HR Leader at the World Sustainability Congress , Aarti embodies purposeful, passionate leadership. With 20 years of HR experience, she excels in creative problem-solving and conflict resolution, helping teams navigate challenges with humility and a focus on solutions. “No two days are the same,” she shares. “You’re always on your toes, finding creative, win-win solutions while respecting laws and procedures. The learning never stops.” Last year, Aarti had to manage challenges herself on the personal front, having to deal with cancer treatment and the loss of her father. Through it all, she found strength in the love and support of family, friends, and colleagues. She also found time to adopt four stray puppies, an endeavour that has been both demanding but deeply rewarding, giving her joy and growth in ways she didn't expect. Thanks Aarti for your determination, strength, and unwavering belief in the potential of people (and puppies!) This MLK Day, our Atlanta team joined forces with United Way of Greater Atlanta for a meaningful Day of Service. Together, we assembled 100 snack packs to support children facing food insecurity—part of a program that will reach over 350,000 students this year.   As the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Atlanta provided the perfect backdrop to honor his enduring values of equality, justice, and service – and to take action in our community.   A heartfelt thank you to the Shades employee resource group, our operations team, and all our volunteers for embodying our values of People, Passion, and Purpose.
