How do we save sight? Here's just one example from Tanzania...👇 Rudia was intent on helping her family receive the care they needed for their cataracts. But she couldn't do it alone. Saving sight begins with assessment and diagnosis. Rudia's two nephews and daughter were assessed and diagnosed with cataracts by Dr Nalogwa, district eye coordinator and trainee ophthalmologist. Sightsavers' project coordinator Upendo put a sight-saving plan into action for Rudia's family, including transport and logistics. The three surgeries were performed by our partner consultant ophthalmologist, Dr Mgaya, who is one of around 10 paediatric surgeons in Tanzania. She travelled 445km to carry out the operations. The surgeries were a success, and now Rudia's nephews and daughters can see again! One person can make a difference. Together, we can make an even bigger impact.
