As part of our social responsibility initiative, we celebrated Diwali this year by hosting stalls from two remarkable NGOs, featuring handcrafted festive items like Akash Kandils, Pantis, Torans, Floating Candles, T-Light Sets, and Jute creations. Each piece was made with care and creativity by the talented individuals from Vatsalya Shikshan Sanstha and Seva Sahayog Foundation. These items are more than festive decor—they represent empowerment, resilience, and the promise of a brighter future for underprivileged communities. Meet the NGOs Behind This Initiative: Vatsalya Shikshan Sanstha, Dehu, Pune A residential school and workshop dedicated to rehabilitating mentally challenged orphans. They focus on combating hunger, poverty, and malnutrition. As well as promoting health, sanitation, and preventive healthcare while providing education, vocational skills, and livelihood support to vulnerable groups, including children, women, the elderly, and differently-abled individuals. Seva Sahayog Foundation, Pune Through skill development programs, Seva Sahayog Foundation empowers women from low-income backgrounds, helping over 1,000 women achieve economic and social independence. Their sustainable livelihood initiatives have enabled over 150 women to gain vocational training and new opportunities. Thank you to everyone who visited our stalls and supported this initiative! Safety isn’t just a priority—it’s a core value at Sigma! We are excited that we have rolled out our "Life Saving Rules," program throughout the month of October.  Life Saving Rules is an impactful program centered on 8 essential rules for everyone. Alongside STOP 6+3, which targets key risks, this program will be reinforced with toolbox talks throughout the year.

Our annual Sigma Football Tournament occurred this past weekend at City Sports Arena, Moshi, Pune. The day was packed with energy and excitement as 16 teams in men’s and women’s divisions across different departments battled it out on the field.   The tournament highlighted the immense passion for football within our organization and underscored the teamwork and determination each player brought to the field. Every match was a spectacle, showcasing exceptional skill and making the day truly unforgettable. MFG Day, led by the Manufacturing Institute—affiliated with the National Association of Manufacturers—is a powerful initiative that unites manufacturers to tackle shared challenges and inspire the next generation. Together, we’re not only building products, but also stronger communities and exciting career paths for the future.

Today, we had the pleasure of welcoming Myra J. Beckers, PhD and Grayson Halstead from Wake Technical Community College Skilled Workforce Training Department, to our Global Headquarters in Garner, N.C. As Sigma continues to expand, our focus on recruiting, training, and upskilling talent becomes more critical than ever. We’re eager to explore how Wake Tech’s programs can help bring more skilled professionals into the manufacturing industry and support our growth. Together, we're shaping the future of workforce development!

On September 27th, we hosted an insightful health and wellness session on Kidney Care with Dr. Pawan Wakhare in Pune, India. We were thrilled have over 150 employees participating in this important initiative. The session provided invaluable information about maintaining kidney health, early detection of issues, and preventative care. We are proud to prioritize the well-being of our team and believe that awareness is the first step toward a healthier future!

We are dedicated to supporting our employees and their families in every way possible. This week in Pune, India we held a career guidance session for employees' children to help them navigate the fast-changing career landscape and prepare for the future. The session was led by Dr. Bhooshan Kelkar, a well-known career counselor, who spoke about how parents can guide their children toward emerging and unconventional career paths in the age of Industry 4.0 and AI. After the talk, we had a lively Q&A where participants could ask their questions and share their thoughts. We’re happy over 200 employees, their children, and family members joined the session, both in-person and online. A big thank you to Ashutosh Athalye, Senior Vice President of Global Business Development, for his inspiring opening remarks on career opportunities.
