𝗛𝗶, 𝗜’𝗺 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗮 𝗥ö𝗺𝗲𝗿. From 14th October to 6th December, I had the opportunity to complete my eight-week internship at Silesia as part of my training to become a Chemical-Technical Assistant (CTA). After my first internship with Silesia two years ago, I already knew that this company has a friendly and open working environment, where interns are both supported and challenged. So, I was really looking forward to working at Silesia once more. Over the past two months, I gained valuable insights into the daily work of a CTA in the development of dairy products. My tasks included preparing liquid flavour samples for development purposes and creating tasting samples, which I assessed and evaluated together with the flavourist. I also had the chance to take part in sensory training and regularly conducted association and triangle tests. These activities helped me refine my ability to identify sensory profiles and detect deviant samples. What excited me the most was the practical relevance of our work – from developing new flavour profiles to tasting extraordinary market samples from around the world. Collaborating with the team was a truly enriching experience, as was the exciting challenge of finding creative solutions together with the developers. 𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮 – I could clearly feel this team spirit throughout my internship. The open and friendly interactions within a family-like atmosphere made my time at Silesia a truly special experience.
