Congratulations to our own Frank Baker, who was honored at the New York Hall of Science’s Celebrate Science and Inspiration Gala. Frank recently visited the New York Hall of Science to share his story, experience NYSCI’s Explainer’s Program firsthand, and meet with the dedicated team working to expand opportunities for young people in STEM.

Today we announced the sale of Fiery, a sizable division of EFI for Imaging (EFI), to global technology leader Seiko Epson Corporation. Fiery is a leading provider of digital front end (“DFE”) servers and workflow solutions for the industrial and graphic arts print sectors.   Over the course of our partnership, Siris operationalized Fiery as an independent company, grew its leadership position in the DFE market and made significant progress expanding the product portfolio and deepening strategic partnerships.   This sale reflects an important component of our investment thesis in EFI. Going forward, we will continue to support EFI, which is now positioned as a streamlined, pure-play leader in the industrial inkjet category.   Read more about this milestone here:

The Siris team recently participated in Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights’ Compass Summer Investor Conference, joining policymakers and financial services leaders to discuss how we can leverage our collective influence to create a more inclusive economy. Of note Frank Baker moderated a panel with Darrick Hamilton and Connecticut State Treasurer Erick Russell to discuss how baby bonds – an innovative policy enacted in CT in which newborn children receive a funded trust at birth – can help reduce the racial wealth gap, and also held an engaging keynote fireside chat with Vermont State Treasurer Mike Pieciak.
