Happy Giving Season! Remember the first time someone opened a door into the arts world for you? Maybe it was your first live musical performance, or a trip to the theater. Can you remember the electricity buzzing through you? Or the first time you volunteered in your community? The satisfaction of seeing your accomplishments in action. Did you feel the power of opening doors for others when working alongside your neighbors? This year alone, Situation Project has opened doors for over 5,000 students to many of their “firsts!” First live show, first career development opportunity, first college visit, first community engagement event. And we are proud. Our students are a remarkable bunch of curious, creative, and talented young people, on track to be our future leaders. It’s a privilege to be a part of their growth and development. Time and again, Situation Project opens doors to extraordinary career, cultural, and community opportunities for New York’s most vulnerable students. As we look ahead to 2025, we are excited to engage more students, deepen our relationships, and champion their paths. This Giving Season, please join us in opening doors to a plethora of “firsts” for our students so 2025 can be Situation Project’s most impactful year yet! Just $25 opens a door for a student! Will you help today - https://lnkd.in/einp68Cp?

Supporting underserved students through equitable and impactful experiential opportunities to improve student outcomes
About us
Welcome to Situation Project, a 501(c)(3) corporation! We are on a mission to support students in underserved communities by providing equitable and impactful experiential opportunities to improve student outcomes. OUR PROGRAMMING Our programming contains three prongs and is aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4, which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education, and to promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. 1/ Culture With reduced arts funding for public schools and an inequity in the opportunities provided to students, we connect both worlds – empowering organizations to take advantage of their resources, while providing access to a wide range of opportunities. 2/ Community Underserved communities face significant challenges and we invest in the students who have a unique perspective, passion and interest in doing something about it. 3/ Career You can only be what you can see. We support students in underserved communities through career readiness and mentorship activities. To date, we’ve delivered over 50,000 student experiences to world class arts and cultural organizations, over 100 career readiness events, and awarded over 50 scholarships to students seeking to reinvest in their local communities.

We're really excited to celebrate our University at Albany Situation Group Prize recipients!! These students are dedicated to making sustainable impact in their communities and across the globe. As future change-makers they are establishing programs to provide additional food options in schools, build safe and educational after school programs, develop community art projects, create platforms for storytelling, and enhance research on local refugee linguistics. Amazing! Big congrats Kaitlin Fotevski, Arely Gonzalez Hernandez, Kelly Wescott, Carleigh Varner, and Jeffrey Gregg!
