Yesterday, we gathered for our Annual Philanthropic Women of St. Joseph's Speaker's Luncheon - a special event celebrating the incredible impact of our members in advancing quality health care for women, children, and families in Tampa Bay. We were honored to welcome Academy Award-nominated writer, actor, and adoption advocate Nia Vardalos as our guest speaker. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated members for their generosity and passion for making a difference.

Happy Valentine's Day from Revere and all his friends at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital! 🐾❤️ Earlier this week, we had a paw-some time at Revere's Puppy Love Photo Booth! The smiles were endless as patients and families captured special memories with their favorite furry friend. Revere is no ordinary dog – he's the hospital's very own facility dog. As a specially trained canine who underwent two years of training prior to joining the team, facility dogs differ from pet therapy dogs in that they provide more than comfort. Revere is a member of the hospital's Child Life team, and lives with his handler, Child Life Specialist Hannah Murray, working alongside her as she visits patients. Thank you to the Adcock family of Tampa, along with Adcock Financial Group, who generously support Revere and the hospital's facility dog program. We are so grateful for their support in helping bring joy to our young patients! 💕

We're thrilled to announce that BayCare Health System is expanding with the acquisition of a 36-acre office parcel next to our St. Joseph's Hospitals campus in Tampa! This expansion adds three buildings and two parking garages, increasing our space by 75%. It will allow us to consolidate services, grow the BayCare Medical Group, and enhance graduate medical education programs. Plans also include a new St. Joseph's Children's Hospital by 2030 and expanded specialty care at St. Joseph's Hospital. This growth will deepen our region's access to high-quality, compassionate care and attract the best physicians to serve our community. We are honored to share that St. Joseph's Hospital has been named one of the nation's 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals by Premier, Inc. - the only hospital in Tampa to earn this prestigious recognition! ❤️🌟 This marks the 6th time the BayCare Heart Vascular Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital has been recognized for its excellence in heart surgery, interventional procedures, and diagnostic testing - all while delivering exceptional patient experiences and outcomes. To create this list, an objective, quantitative analysis of publicly available data was conducted to identify the top cardiovascular hospitals in the U.S. This program aims to inspire hospitals to pursue higher performance and deliver added value to patients and communities. Each year, the hospital performs more than 700 heart surgeries, 3,600 cardiac interventional and electrophysiology procedures and 11,500 diagnostic tests. Celebrating Little Hearts: Adrian's Story ❤️ At St. Joseph's Children's Hospital Foundation, we are proud to support the lifesaving care provided by the extraordinary cardiac team at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital. Their dedication ensures that children like 2-month-old Adrian, who was diagnosed in the womb with transposition of the great arteries, receive world-class treatment when they need it most. Thanks to the expertise of Dr. J. Blaine John, BayCare Health System Kids pediatric and fetal cardiologist at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, Adrian's condition was identified early, allowing his family to prepare for the road ahead. "Meeting with the cardiologists at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital was very reassuring because we knew what to expect going in. Knowledge is power, and they made sure to answer all our questions," said his mother, Marli. At just 2 days old, Adrian underwent heart surgery, and in just eight days, he was home with his loving family. "Literally everyone from top to bottom was absolutely incredible – nurses, staff, the whole Pediatric Cardiac ICU," Marli shared. During #HeartMonth, we celebrate the brave young warriors born with congenital heart defects and the compassionate medical teams that change their lives. Starting TOMORROW, Panera Bread will kick off their very special Valentine's cookie promotion benefiting the Patel Heart Institute at St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, supporting little hearts like Parker's.
