Our Workforce Villages program is bridging the gap and empowering individuals on their journey to self-sufficiency. Our 90-day program offers full-time employed individuals a modern apartment and encourages them to save 70-80% of their income. A new Florida law bans people experiencing homelessness from sleeping in public spaces—but does it actually help? According to an article published in the Tampa Bay Times, advocates argue that it pushes people further from essential services rather than addressing the root causes of homelessness. The article also highlights St. Joseph the Worker and the tangible impact we’re making in the fight against homelessness. Through transitional housing, employment resources and financial literacy support, we help individuals regain stability. Since launching our program, about 250 clients have moved into permanent independent housing—proving that stable jobs and supportive services are key to breaking the cycle of homelessness.
