Please read below and join us to fight the fraud wreaking havoc throughout our industry: PRESS CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT: New York Fraudemic - Exposing Staged Accidents at Construction Sites Event Details: Friday, January 17, 2025 11:00 a.m. Federal Courthouse, Brooklyn - 225 Cadman Plaza East The Future of New York’s Building Industry is Under Threat For the past several years, contractors and property owners throughout the state, particularly in New York City, have seen a surge in fraudulent insurance claims for staged construction site accidents. Join us at a historical press conference where two insurance companies are combining forces to fight the fraud. Hear from industry leaders, builders, insurers, property owners, affordable housing advocates, non-profits, and policymakers exposing the rampant insurance fraud hurting New York’s construction sector. This crisis demands urgent action to safeguard the industry and the livelihoods it supports. The Reality: Staged accidents and fake injury claims are wreaking havoc:  Billions of dollars lost annually.  Insurance coverage becoming unaffordable. Critical projects stalled, including affordable housing developments. Labor Law 240/241 (Scaffold Law) is being exploited by bad actors, costing New Yorkers billions, and harming honest workers, businesses, and the public. The Media is Taking Notice: ABC News: Fake construction falls in New York contributing to rising rent, home costs (11/7/23)  NY Post: MS-13, Russian mobsters use migrants in elaborate injury scam (6/16/24)  Inside Edition: Are some New Yorkers faking falls at construction sites for insurance payouts? (11/26/24)  NY Post: Frivolous lawsuits and shady lawyers annually cost New York state taxpayers and businesses $89B (12/13/24) And more major outlets uncovering shocking schemes. Even the Department of Buildings is Sounding the Alarm: The 2023 DOB Annual Safety Report revealed a large increase in ladder falls, stair falls and tripping incidents. The City has seen an over 17% increase in these types of incidents that are investigated by the Department but did not result in any enforcement because no unsafe or illegal conditions were found by their inspectors. Why You Should Attend: This is your chance to join forces with industry leaders to expose this fraud, advocate for meaningful reforms, and protect New York’s construction industry. Together, we can save jobs, rebuild trust, and ensure the future of affordable housing and development across the state. Be the Voice of Change: Help us spread awareness. Share this message and the attached flyer with your network. Your support is crucial in addressing this crisis head-on. We look forward to seeing you there. Together, let’s fight for the integrity of New York’s building industry.

Challenging Heights, Overcoming Obstacles Today, we embarked on a major milestone at 250E 87th St: the demolition of the parapet on the 32nd floor. This isn’t a small or simple task. It’s a complex, demanding, and high-stakes challenge that requires courage, discipline, precise techniques, leadership, expertise, experience, and, above all, the drive to make it happen. With a determined team of 26 workers and 12 drops in the first phase, we face this task head-on, united and focused. The breathtaking view of New York City from above reminds us of the impact and purpose of our work. Each obstacle we overcome strengthens us, and every completed step is progress toward building something extraordinary. This is the essence of our industry: turning challenges into achievements with safety, strategy, and unwavering dedication. We move forward with determination and gratitude for the team making it all possible. Onward and upward—because the sky has never been our limit, but rather our starting point! #Construction #Leadership #Discipline #Determination #NYC #SafeDemolition #Teamwork Skyline Restoration Inc. - Stephan Andreatos - adam seminara - Juan David Añez Pineda - Marco Corrêa

Completion is in sight for 270 Park Avenue, JP Morgan Chase's 1,389 foot supertall headquarters🙌🏽 Designed by Fosters + Partners, it's set to be New York's tallest all-electric tower and will be 100% powered by renewable energy. In addition to operating on net zero carbon emissions, the building will incorporate AI and intelligent building technology to predict, respond and adapt to energy needs. The project is the first under New York City's Midtown East Rezoning plan and is expected to be completed towards the end of 2025.

Director of Safety Compliance at Skyline Restoration Inc.

At Skyline Restoration, safety is not just a priority. It's a core value embedded in our culture. We don’t simply advise our team on what they should do or have; we take proactive steps to provide the necessary PPE and education to ensure their well-being. In December 2023, we implemented a policy requiring 100% use of safety glasses on all our job sites. Thanks to this commitment, we successfully completed the entire 2024 calendar year without a single eye injury. But we didn’t stop there. Our next goal is to eliminate foot injuries. In partnership with Shoes for Crews who provided a boot truck for the end of year party we held for our workers, we ensured that every worker was properly sized and provided with at no cost to the worker, brand-new safety-toe work boots, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to safety. Together with support from senior leadership, the Skyline Safety Team is headed into 2025 working to create the safest conditions for our staff at every jobsite. Skyline Restoration Inc.
