Yesterday, the Talent Acquisition team embraced the spirit of giving by adopting a family through Avivo. The team came together to donate funds and purchase gifts for the family. To celebrate, the team hosted a festive wrapping party in the office, spreading holiday cheer as they prepared the presents. One special request on the little girl’s Christmas list was a porcelain doll. Talent Acquisition Partner, Cathy, went above and beyond by having her mom craft a beautiful porcelain doll for the child. ❤️ What a heartwarming way to celebrate the joy and generosity of the Christmas season!

Last night, the Minnesota Technology Association held its 26th annual Tekne award ceremony. This ceremony celebrates excellence in advancement of Minnesota's technology ecosystem and honors organizations and individuals who merit special recognition for their outstanding contributions to Minnesota's Science and Technology economy. Sleep Number and the Mayo Clinic were proud to accept the nominee for "Excellence in Partnership". Congratulations #TeamSleepNumber for this award and recognition! At the Heart Failure Society of America Annual Scientific Meeting in Cleveland, #TeamSleepNumber presented new research with Mayo Clinic, analyzing the connection between sleep abnormalities and heart failure. The study, leveraging longitudinal data from Sleep Number Smart Beds® and Mayo Clinic's clinical expertise, highlights potential life-changing impacts on heart health. This collaboration, which started in 2020, includes a dedicated research fun to advance sleep science and improve clinical outcomes. Yesterday, we announced after nearly 18 years with #TeamSleepNumber, including 12 years as President and CEO, Shelly Ibach shared her plans to retire as Chair, President and CEO in the first half of 2025. Under Shelly’s leadership, Sleep Number transitioned from a mattress manufacturer named Select Comfort to a sleep wellness technology leader. Shelly’s innumerable contributions include the introduction of our life-changing smart beds and digital wellness platform; evolution of our company’s purpose – to improve the health and wellbeing of society through higher quality sleep; and the creation of a vertically integrated business model with exclusive direct-to-consumer distribution through nearly 650 Sleep Number stores and online. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Shelly for her visionary and courageous leadership, and for making Sleep Number the purpose-driven company it is today. Pursuant to its established succession plan, the Board of Directors has engaged an independent executive search firm to help identify Ibach’s successor. To support an effective transition, Shelly will serve as a strategic advisor to the new CEO and Board through the end of 2025. As a University of Wisconsin-Stout grad, it was an honor to represent the 40th Anniversary of UW-Stout’s Cabot Executive-in-Residence this week along with MG Marcia Anderson, Ret. US Army. We shared our leadership experiences with Stout faculty and students through numerous events including a panel discussion with UW-Stout’s Chancellor Katherine Frank.
